People with very oily skin and large pores are not good candidates for microblading. The pigments used in microblading attract water. Oily skin has difficulty absorbing the pigment because oil and water repel each other. Microblading is performed using ultra-fine blades to introduce the pigments into the skin while drawing individual hairs. It is very difficult for oily skin to retain the pigments. There is also a risk that the finely drawn lines will expand during the healing process.
Therefore, the probability that the end result will not last long is very high. The incorporated color may fade or the hair strokes may disappear.
At Swiss Happy Brows we offer free consultations in our studios in Zurich and Lucerne, in which we analyze your skin type and recommend whether microblading is right for you. If this is not the case, alternative techniques can be considered, which we also offer.
