What is the difference to tattoo / permanent make-up?

In contrast to tattoos or permanent make-up, microblading is done manually, i.e. without a machine. This means that, unlike a tattoo or a PMU, the pigment is not incorporated into the dermis, but rather into the upper layer of skin (epidermis). Here it is possible to blade the finest, razor-sharp hairs, which would appear blurry if incorporated into the dermis. Due to this procedure, the microblading result is only semi-permanent and should be refreshed at regular intervals.
